InvisiBreak Install with Roadmaster Diode 7-wire To 6-wire Flexo-coil Wiring Kit

Question:

I am installing an Invisibreak RM-8700 breaking System and a Roadmaster Diode 7-wire To 6-wire Flexo-coil Wiring Kit in a 2019 Ford Fiesta Hatchback. Most install videos show tying the four flat wiring harness from the brake controller and the wiring kit together at the front bumper prior installing it into the 6-wire plug. I can access the taillight wiring inside the trunk/cargo area under the trim panels. Can I splice the four flat wiring harnesses together inside the vehicle under the dash, routing a four flat harness to the rear of the vehicle for the diode and tail light hookup and a four flat harness to the front to install in the 6-wire plug receptacle? Since I plan to install the tail light portion of the Roadmaster Diode 7-wire To 6-wire Flexo-coil Wiring Kit inside the vehicle this would minimize wiring through the firewall.

Most of our installation videos for the InvisiBrake # RM-8700 and the Roadmaster Diode Kit # RM-15267 use the methods that our install techs have found to be the best way for them, and also sticking with manufacturer instructions- but it may not be the best way for others.

I did speak with my contact over at Roadmaster and they did insist that following the recommended installation instructions are always best to avoid potential problems, but with that being said- there's nothing stopping you from doing it the way you're talking about and my guy said that you can still do it your way with one caveat. When wiring in the diodes, those will need to be wired in directly behind the tail light bulbs since the factory harness splits off at different portions and wiring them in anywhere else on the vehicle is going to keep your lights from working properly.
