The type of experience you're describing is unfortunately the downside of jounce-style springs like the SumoSprings # SSR-312-54 you mentioned for the rear axle of your 2018 Ram 2500. This type of suspension enhancement does a really great job of supporting heavy cargo weight or the tongue weight from a trailer but they can definitely lead to a harsher ride when driving empty.

You can try removing the included spacer from your SumoSprings setup (if you installed it) to widen the gap between the spring and axle. This will just make it so that the suspension has to move a bit more before it engages with the spring, but it may also lead to some additional sag when you do actually have loaded weight or a trailer hooked up.

There's really not much else that you can do with the existing system to help smooth out the unloaded ride. Your best option if ride quality is your main concern is going to be to replace the springs altogether with an air bag system.

For this the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2598 will work really nicely. This system is confirmed to fit your Ram 2500 and because the air bags can be adjusted (5 psi to 100 psi) you are able to maintain a comfortable ride whether loaded or unloaded. You can also add a compressor like # F2581 that lets you adjust the bags from the comfort of your cab.

I have attached a couple short video demonstrations that you can check out as well.
