Where To Line the Hitch Ball Hole Up When Install Gooseneck Hitch On 2001 F-250 with 2011 F-250 Bed
Question:
My BandW turnoverball hitch is arriving today, and Im getting ready to cut 4inch the hole in the box. I hooked my tape over the back of the box, stretched it out 47inch and it lands offset by quite a bit on the factory embossment in my 2011+ box. I looked at the installation instructions for the Model 1111 2011 - 2016 hitch and they say to mark the hole at 46 1/8 Any idea if that is indeed the correct location for the hole in my 2001 chassis with 2011+ box? Thanks!

If you have a 2001 Ford F-250 Chassis with 2011 Ford F-250 Bed then the location of the hitch ball for the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1108 which is designed for the 2001 Ford F-250 Chassis most likely won't match up with the 2011 Ford F-250 Bed. I would also think the different generation bed could create issues when measuring so you would be best off to mock up the hitch first and then mark a hole though the center where the hitch ball should be located and use that as your mark.
