Do Trailer Equalizer Heights have to be the Same to Level Trailer Leaf Spring
Question:
building a trailer. ordered tandem hanger kit with 1 1/2inch front and rear hangers, with 2 1/2inch center hanger. put all in place on the frame and my spring seats and springs dont set level with the frame. appears that i need front and rear hangers same length as center, to level the springs. or is this normal? what do you think?

Expert Reply:
Hangers come in varying heights to accommodate equalizers that have different heights and different frame clearances but the end goal is to allow the leaf springs to sit as level as possible. The part # 115918 you referenced is the 2-1/2 inch height you are looking for but a different option might be to go with a different height equalizer.
I attached a link to a page that has all of the equalizers we carry as well.
