How To Route Power Wire Through Fire Wall When Installing 4-Pole Trailer Connector

Car: 2004 Pont. Grand Am GT. Where do you recommend the power cable from the battery enter the car. All of the existing cable harness penetrations through the firewall are tight with wires and unreachable by hand.

Passing the power wire through the fire wall is different on almost every type and year model of vehicle. It sounds like you have found some entry points through the fire wall to wire the power wire of # C59236. If you can find a grommet with fewer wires running through it, you can try to cut a small slit on the side of the grommet and push the power wire through that. It is okay for the power wire to be pass through an existing hole with other wires just be careful not to puncture any of the other wires. If you cannot get the power wire through the fire wall you can route the power wire through the vehicle's frame from the 4-pole up the engine compartment under the vehicle.
