2 1/2 inch Hitch Shank for Weight Distribution to Tow Outback Camper with Silverado Level

Question:

I recently traded in a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0 LT Z71 for a 2018 Ram 2500HD 4x4. My outback camper seems to sit a little canted up in the front now. I purchased the 2 1/2 Kurt shank from y’all a few years ago. It has 7 holes, not sure what the is. Do you have a recommendation on a 2 1/2 shank that would work to get the nose of the camper down a little?

Expert Reply:

The Equal-i-zer Shank part # EQ90-02-4900 would be your best option to give you the amount of drop you need to tow your trailer level. The Curt shank you have now part # C17131 can do up to 2 inches of drop but the Equal-i-zer can do up to 6 inches so it will fit and work well.
