Shank Recommendation to Use Weight Distribution System in 2-1/2 inch Hitch

Question:

New truck has 2.5 in hitch receiver. Have weight distribution hitch for old truck with 2 in receiver. Will I need complete new hitch setup or can I get a 2.5 in drawbar to use with my old saddle?

All you need is to swap out the shank of your system with one that is compatible with a 2-1/2 inch sized hitch and you'd be set. The most popular option is the Equal-I-Zer part # EQ90-02-4900 which is compatible with basically all brands of weight distribution and can do up to a 6 inch drop or 10 inch rise.
