How to Select the Correct Size Vinyl Trim Insert

Question:

How do you properly measure the correct replacement rubber vinyl for metal trim on outside edge of camper? My white vinyl measures 5/8 of an inch smashed flat for outside edges of camper for metal trim. Around the compartments and door measures 9/16 of an inch smashed flat. Do I measure the vinyl or metal track opening? It appears I have two different sizes. Both metal tracks are different sizes as well. I do not see any sizes listed according to the widths I have? RV Trailer, 2012, 30 foot, Springdale, aluminum sides

The best way to select the correct size vinyl trim insert is to measure the trim insert you have now while flat, not the track. We don't really recommend measuring the track as they are not all a standard width. That said, we only offer vinyl trim inserts in 3/4" wide and 1" wide. It sounds like you will end up needing the 3/4" wide vinyl trim insert part # CAM25163 for 25' long or part # CAM25262 for 100' long.

I have attached a list of all our vinyl trim insets for you as well.
