How Does Factory Brake Controller of 2014 Chevy Silverado Get Replaced with P3
Question:
I have a 2014 Silverado 2500HD w/ the 6.6 Duramax. It has a factory installed brake controller. Can I replace it with the Tekonsha P3?

Check out the FAQ article I attached that details exactly what you will need to do to bypass your factory controller in your 2014 Chevy Silverado with the P3 # 90195. It's pretty easy to do actually. The link is down below the product links.
The P3 comes with a pigtail wiring harness to allow you to splice into the under-dash vehicle wiring. You will also need enough 12-gauge blue wire, part # 12-1-1, to reach from the brake controller to your 7-way vehicle connector. In the engine compartment you will need to make two additional wiring connections to activate the wiring for the controller's 12V power and for the trailer's charging circuit.
