Question:

Hi, i am buying a 5th wheel from a person who is including their curt 20K 5th wheel hitch. The hitch is installed in a 2016 Chevy 2500, i have a 2010 Ford F250 Super Duty. Will the hitch work in my truck, if i buy a rail system for a Ford or is the hitch only good for Chevy trucks. Thanks

The Curt 20K 5th Wheel Hitch will work on your 2010 Ford F-250 but I would need to know what base that 5th wheel hitch has in order to see if additional parts are needed. If it installs via pucks like the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16530-16025 then you can reuse the head and center section but you will need a new base along with above bed rails for your truck. If it installs via above bed base rails like the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16130 then all you will need is above bed rails for your truck. I also need to know if it is a fixed or slider base.

If it installs via pucks then you will need to obtain either the Replacement Base Legs part # C16904 (short bed) or the Curt R20 Round Tube Slider part # C16550 (long bed) along with the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ford part # C16448-204. If it installs via above bed base rails then all you will need is the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ford part # C16448-204.
