Wiring Needed to Install Curt Echo Brake Controller in 2018 BMW X5
Question:
4 way vehicle connection to 7 way trailer. We rent RV trailers occasionally. I have a flat 4 pin on my 2018 BMW X5. THe folks we rent from require a 7 pin connection to trailer and a brake controller. Your video on the Curt Echo wireless was informative, sounds like a versatile investment. what to do about 4 pin to 7 pin?

The Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 is the perfect option for people who rent RVs on occasion because you don't have to have something constantly taking up room in your vehicle. To use it - or any brake controller - you do need a 7-way, however.
For your '18 BMW X5 since you already have a 4-way such as the Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT you will only need to install the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L. This kit gives you the 7-way, wiring and hardware needed to use the Curt Echo brake controller.
