Replacement Oil Cap for 3,500 Pound Axle

Having trouble finding a replacement for this it’s a 3500 lbs axle. 5 bolt. Looking for oil bath axle cap.

When locating a replacement oil cap you will want to take a quick measurement of your hub bore diameter, ideally using a digital caliper capable of measuring to the nearest thousandth of an inch. Most likely on a 3,500 pound axle you will use the Kodiak XL ProLube Oil Bath Hub Body and Cap # XLPROLUBE1980 but I still recommend measuring just to be sure.

This cap fits a hub bore diameter of 1.98 inches.

The oil caps we offer are for much higher capacity axles than what you have based on the bolt pattern of your trailer wheel. That said there's a chance the part #RG04-260 would fit but this has an outer diameter of 2.563 inches. You'd have to…

Technically speaking, once the bearings are initially packed, you shouldn't need to repack them. I'd still recommend breaking the hub down occasionally to inspect the bearings and races to make sure everything's in good condition.
