Replacement Towing Mirrors For 2000 Chevrolet Silverado Without Heating Function
Question:
My truck has the electric remote function, but does not have the heated function. I can do without the heated function as I live in the South, but will the trucks wiring plug fit the mirror plug as is? If not, would it be possible to take the plugs from the mirrors I am replacing damaged in a sideswipe and wire them onto the new mirrorsfoot pigtails to obtain just the remote function?

It may be possible to re-wire the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors - Electric/Heat part # KS62139-40G however, it is not recommended or necessary because there are easier options.
I recommend to use CIPA Magna Custom Extendable Electric towing mirror part # CM70121 for the driver's side and part # 70120 for the passenger side. The CIPA mirrors are replacement mirrors for the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado that extend for towing. However, you may lose LED turn signals, automatic dimming, and puddle lights if you had those features but the mirrors will plug right into your existing wiring harness.
