Can the Add-On Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Kit Be Used On a Single Axle Trailer

Question:

I have started researching the addition of shocks to my travel trailer, which happens to be single axle. I noticed that the only Roadmaster shock kits you have listed on your website as well as the Roadmaster website are for tandem or triple axle trailers. With that being said, I have carefully reviewed the installation instructions of the Roadmaster shocks and have not found any reason why one of the add-on kits for triple axle trailers the kit that only has two shocks for one axle could not be successfully used on a single axle trailer, as long as it is sized properly for the axle capacity. I am aware that you also carry the Lippert shock kit for single axle trailers, but based on my research, the Roadmaster brand seemed to receive better reviews, especially for installation. Any further information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Kit part # RM-2450-50 would indeed work just fine on a single axle trailer. The upper shock mounts gets attached directly to the trailer frame and then the lower shock mounts gets attached to the tie plate. There is no reason it would not work on a single axle trailer and I even called Roadmaster to confirm this for you.
