Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here@etrailer.com. I'll be taking a quick look at the AceCamp sleeping pad. This is going to make it easy to take a nap anywhere or sleep through the night soundly on any kind of terrain. It's going to pad underneath our sleeping bag, or just give you a nice cushion if you want to sleep somewhere on the rough ground. It does come with these two elastic pieces to help hold it in place.
They aren't tethered in any kind of way, which is one knock against it, I would say, because you have to keep track of these guys now. It does unfold easily. It's just an accordion shape. It's a little over six feet long, so it should be good for most people out there. It's about 75 inches long, so about six feet, three inches, and then the width, I'm going to just keep it kind of half unfolded, is about 22 inches, 22 and a half, so not too bad as far as that width is intended for a single person. Then, each of these panels, whenever it's completely unfolded, it's about seven eighths of an inch thick.
If we go from the tip to tip, they're kind of these little nibs here that provide some cushion and a little variance to that foam to give a little bit more support. If we go from the edge of one to the edge of the other, it's about an inch thick, but then if we just go from the pad itself, it's about seven sixteenths or just under a half inch thick. It is made out of a polyethylene foam. The R rating is going to be 2.3. Now we fold it up again.
It all just kind of compacts in together and now it is about five and a half inches depth.Yeah, and pretty compact. It weighs under a pound, so about 11 ounces. It should be a pretty easy addition to your camping trip, probably not something that you'd want to backpack with, just because it is kind of bulky depending on your setup. If you're going to be camping and driving in, probably, it's going to be more something along those lines that you want to include with it. Definitely it's going to provide that support to make it easier to make it through the night if you're used to a little bit more cushion than just the hard ground.
That's it for our look at the AceCamp bed or an AceCamp sleeping pad. I hope this has been helpful in deciding of just the right piece for you. We do have a lot of other camping gear here at etrailer.com, so check it out. Thanks for watching.
