Question:

New trailer, when I hook up only left brake light works. Nothing else. What fuses do I need to replace?

The online owner's manual for the 2006 Ford Expedition indicates that a number of fuses related to trailer functions are located in the passenger compartment fuse panel. The fuse panel is located under the right-hand side of the instrument panel; please refer to page 277 of the online manual (which I separately sent to you).

The following fuse and relay positions/values relate to trailer functions:

Fuse Value Function
6 15A Brake controller
10 20A Backup lights, parking lights
13 10A Trailer tow battery charge
29 30A Trailer tow electric brake controller
36 10A Trailer tow right turn/stop lamps
42 10A Trailer tow left turn/stop lamps
106 30A Trailer tow battery charge
Relay
R05 Trailer tow battery charge
R201 Trailer tow park lamp relay
R301 Trailer tow back-up lamp relay

Your power box cover may have a fuse legend that differs from what the manual says; so it is a good idea to check this too. My 2010 Escape shows different fuse information in the manual and on the fuse box cover.

In addition to checking your fuses I suggest you also test the trailer by itself using the 12V battery in the vehicle or a spare. You can directly apply the battery power to your trailer connector (connect the ground then apply the positive power to each pin, one at a time, to see if the lights work. If so you know the issue is on the vehicle side.
