Question:

Does this solenoid energize to connect the battery for normal use or deenergize? What is the current draw when energized?

The Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766 energizes to connect the battery for normal use. The current draw is a 12V quick-draw with 200-amp constant duty and 600-amp surge. I reached out to my contact at Roadmaster who confirmed this.

@David The Roadmaster Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766 only draws power momentarily when you push the button. My contact at Roadmaster didn't give me a number for that but he did say that when driving or towing the vehicle there is no power being drawn at the coil so it won't get hot at all.
