How to lower a camper

I do have a few ways for you to lower a camper but it will largely be dependent on what type of suspension you have, leaf springs or torsion. If you have leaf springs and they are positioned above the axle tube, you can flip them with the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit part # K71-385-00 or part # K71-384-00. If they are already below the axle tube then you can go with a sightly smaller wheel/tire combo or you can install shorter leaf spring hangers. If you can provide me with your tire size and or leaf spring hanger height as well as how much you need to lower your trailer, I may be able to provide part numbers for you.

If you have a torsion suspensions system then the only option we can offer you to lower the trailer is either again with smaller wheels/tires or a new drop axle like the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System part # A35RD545E for example which offers 4" of drop. If you let me know what your axle capacity is I can then provide part numbers for this.

It depends what type of suspension setup you have. Is this a torsion square axle? You may be able to replace it with a drop spindle unit to lower the trailer. Let me know exactly what you have and I can get a little more specific.
