The first step is to check the grounds on the 7-way connector on the truck to make sure the ground is grounded to a clean bare metal surface. Then take a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and test the 12V circuit on the truck's 7-way to make sure you are getting power. If you are not getting power to the 12V circuit on the 7-way, it may not be trickle charging the camper's battery when the vehicle is running. If your 7-way is not getting power from the vehicle battery at the plug, then you may need to replace the trailer connector or if it's hardwired make sure the 12V power wire is extended to the battery of the truck without damage or frayed wire.

If you get power at the 7-way plug and are using a 7-way extension to the bed, then make sure the camper plug is properly seated into the plug in the bed. If you check the 12V circuit at the in-bed plug and it doesn't show power, you may need to replace that plug.

Please keep in mind the 7-way plug itself on the truck will not charge a dead battery it only trickle charges the battery when the vehicle is running. It looks like your Big Foot is equipped with a 110V/120V AC to 12V DC converter which will automatically switch the load from battery to the converter when the camper is plugged into a 110V/120V shore power source. Included in the power converter is a battery charge circuit, which is designed to recharge the RV battery and automatically shut off when the preset required voltage is reached. You may want to make sure you are plugging into a 110V/120V AC periodically to make sure the battery doesn't die.

I also found the owner's manual for the Big foot and it said the battery has a "store" setting. When it is in store setting the battery does not charge. You want to remember to press the switch to on or use.
