Fifth Wheel Rail Kit Recommendation for 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Short Bed

I have a 2009 Dodge ram Hemi Big horn short bed, which kit would work best for my truck? and would the universal kit fit?

The best fitting fifth wheel rail kits are the custom fit kits as they don't require frame drilling and the install time will be about half the time when compared to a universal kit.
For your 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 the kit I recommend then is the Reese part # RP50142-58 which is custom fit for your truck. There is a semi-custom kit available for your truck as part # RP30035-386 but you'll be MUCH happier with the custom fit it. There are no universal kits that fit your truck.
Since you have a short bed truck you'll need a slider hitch to allow you the clearance to make tight turns. For that we have the Reese Slider part # RP30075 which has a 16k capacity, a round tube slider which is the smoothest operating style and a jaw system that wraps totally around the king pin for a tight and quiet ride.
