2016 BMW X5 XDrive40e Trailer Hitch Recommendation
Question:
Hello, Shopping for a 2016 X5 XDrive40e. I believe some come with a sort of M Performance Package. Hard to find how these vehicles were optioned that model year. I note that your trailers specify for w/ and w/o M performance. Not sure if it matters with the XDrive 40e. Can you confirm? Do you recommend one brand over the other? Ive installed 3 hitches in my past. Thanks!

The trailer hitch fits we offer for your 2016 BMW X5 without the M package would be what you'd want for your Xdrive40e model. For that I really like the Draw Tite you mentioned part # 75600. This is a mostly hidden trailer hitch with great towing capacities.
If you'd prefer a totally hidden hitch when not in use the EcoHitch part # 306-X7265 is the way to go. When not in use you simply take out the attachment for the hitch opening and it's totally out of sight.

Hello, a year ago I was shopping for a 2016 BMW X5 40e Hybrid. I wonder if your recommendations have changed or if there any new products to consider. I would like to pull the trigger.

I’m going to order https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Draw-Tite/75600.html For my 2016 BMW X5 eDrive and I wanted to know if you can recommend a 7 PIN wiring harness? Is it #56190 and then add a 7 way? The goal is to pull a horse trailer and add a wireless brake controller.
