Could Trailer Tire Size 205/75-15 Replace 225/75-15 and have Enough Weight Capacity

Question:

I have a new utility trailer with 205/75D15 load range C and would like to take the tires off of that and put on a two horse trailer that has 225/75R15 load range D. I will replace all four tires so to be the same but was concerned if the utility tire is strong enough? Thank you for your time

The tire size of 205/75-15 will fit the same wheel that the tire size 225/75-15 fits. So in that regard you'd be fine, but since I don't know what the weight of your horse trailer would be it's harder for me know if the weight capacity would be enough.

A 205/75-15 tire size in Load Range C will have a capacity of 1,820 lbs so you'll need to multiply that number the amount of tires your trailer has and compare that to the weight of your trailer when loaded to know if you'll have the capacity.

In the size mentioned and LR D we have the part # TTWTRTM2257515D which is a really great option. It has a higher speed rating of 81 mph and and an automotive style of tread pattern that helps provide great traction in wet and dry conditions.
