Can 16 Wheels be Used to Replace 15 Wheels on 18 Haul King Trailer

Question:

I have an 18 foot Haul King trailer that came with 225/75 15 tires. I was wondering if I could put 16 inch wheels with 225/75/16 tires in it..

As long as you have enough room for the larger wheel/tire combo you can definitely use larger tires. This includes wheel well clearance (we recommend at least 4") and tire to frame clearance (we recommend at least 2").

I don't believe that there are 225/75-16 size tires so the closest size tire to your current 225/75-15 is 235/80-16. For this size I recommend the Kendra ST235/80R16 Radial Tire w 16" White Spoke Wheel # AM32764 which has a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, has a Load Range E (3,420 lbs at 80 psi for a single tire application), and a max speed rating of 81 mph. This tire has a section width of 9.25" (about 0.5" wider than your current tire) and an overall diameter of 30.79" (about 1.5" larger than your current tire).
