Does Installing a Hitch on a 1999 Toyota Camry Involved Cutting Fascia or Bumper

Question:

I have a 1999 4 door Toyota Camry. When installing the Draw Tite Class II hitch on my car will I have to cut the fascia which I assume is the bumper? Is a hidden receiver type hitch available for my car and, if not, how far past the bumper will the hitch/drawbar protrude? Thanks.

I have reviewed the installation instructions for the Draw-Tite Class II hitch, part number 36336. There is no indication of cutting the fascia or bumper for the 1999 Toyota Camry. The receiver opening sits flush with the rear fascia or bumper cover. I have added a link to the instructions below that include a drawing of how the hitch is positioned on the car and a step-by-step instruction list. I also added a video of it being installed on a 2005 Toyota Camry.
