Upgrading EZ Loader Boat Trailer Tires and Wheels to Radial Tires and Mod Wheel Size ST175/80R13

Question:

I have a 2008 Hewes Craft Sportsman 180 Boat, It has an EZ-loader trailer, it came with and is rated for 185/80r 13c tires when my grandfather bought it. My uncle had put 185/80d13 tires on it. Im wondering if I can put a set of your..... Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13inch Black Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR D Item # AM31990...on my trailer, the weight ratings would be the same as the D rated tires I have now?

The Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Black Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR D # AM31990 will work just fine for your EZ Loader boat trailer. Moving to radial tires over the bias tires you currently have will only help for better traction and reduced wear as you travel on paved roads. The load range C tires that came on your trailer originally were simply a slightly softer sidewall than your current load range D tires. They have a stiffer sidewall and higher ply rating.

The benefit to this upgrade is not only the nice wheels, but the radial tires that will run cooler than bias tires extending their lifespan. I've attached an article to assist. You will want to inflate the tires to 65 psi prior to your trip and these tires are rated for speeds up to 81 mph. I've attached a video review to assist.
