The best way to select a weight distribution system for your 2011 Dodge Durango is to weigh the trailer when it is fully loaded and ready to tow. When weighing the trailer you will need to determine the gross trailer weight and the gross tongue weight, and add the weight of anything you may have loaded in the rear of your Durango to the tongue weight.
Armed with this information you can select a weight distribution system that has a tongue weight capacity and gross weight capacity that is safe for use with your setup.
As an example, if your gross weight turns out to be 6,000 lbs and your gross tongue weight, including any items that might get loaded behind the rear axle in your Durango, turns out to be 700 pounds I would recommend going with system # C17322, that is rated for 1,000 lbs tongue weight and 10,000 lbs gross trailer weight. You check Durango owners manual and stay within the maximum weight distribution tongue weight and gross weight rating.
