Height Above Shank on Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount 325-GH-514
Question:
I need the shank to slip into the receiver which is slightly forward of my RV bumper and with the top opening of the receiver only slightly below the bottom of the bumper. To do this the shank and some of the rest of the hitch needs to fit under my RV bumper. How much higher is hitch itself from the shank attached to it that slides into the receiver? What diameter is the hole to attach a third ball to the ball mount?

Helpful Expert Reply:
From the top of the shank on the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # 325-GH-514 to the top of the hitch ball portion the distance is 3/4-inch. This means you need 3/4-inch clearance from the top of the receiver opening up to the bottom of the bumper. The hole in the 2-ball assembly is 3/4-inch diameter to accept 1-7/8-inch hitch ball # 325-GH-090.
