Question:

Hi, Im having difficulty finding a weight distribution system with sway control that will fit a T@B 400 trailer frame. Its 4.5inch tall and is a C Channel style. Im trying to find out if this hitch will fit. Thanks,

I spoke with a representative of Equal-i-zer who told me you could use the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET with the 4-1/2 inch tall C-channel frame on your T@B 400 trailer. I was told that if you feel like the trailer frame is "soft" you can simply put a piece of wood inside the C-channel where the Equal-i-zer clamps on.

This system is designed for total tongue weights (TTW - the tongue weight of your fully loaded trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind your tow vehicle's rear axle) between 200 lbs and 600 lbs. If your TTW is pushing 600 lbs you can go to the next size up, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET and is rated for TTWs between 600 lbs and 1,000 lbs.

These systems come with everything you need for installation, including the shank, though it is recommended you use thin-walled socket # EQ70-00-4800 to help install the hitch ball. I have added links to video reviews of the Equal-i-zer systems and socket for you to check out as well.
