How can or know if the braking is working in your towed vehicle when applying the brakes in RV?

The small monitor part of the Blue Ox Patriot braking system # BLU37TR, which is shown in the linked photo, includes adjustment controls for braking power and also provides alerts to any potential safety issues the system might detect during use. The display will turn yellow or red in such instances. When all is well the display will simply show the selected power setting.
