2006 Keystone Montana Mountaineer Replacement Landing Gear Legs
Question:
2006 Keystone Montana Mountaineer 36ft. 3 slide outs. Original problem was made a loud clicking noise like gears missed, then would lock up, could manually raise and lower leg. We replaced the aluminum gear box Lippert 276602 Venture Fifth Wheel Landing Gear Box Aluminum , landing gear kit Lippert 146059 Venture Lead Landing Gear Leg Repair Kit and Lippert 146060 Venture Follow Leg Fifth Wheel Landing Gear Repair Kit but still doesnt work. Just purchased a motor LG-196308 Replacement Motor for Stromberg Carlson Electric Landing Gear Set - 6,500 lbs but that isnt the problem so didnt use it. Wont work at all and keeps blowing fuse. Think its the new gears are locking up and putting pressure on and blowing fuse. Bent outer shaft where upper gear is. So need the Right side upper looking into compartment right side, outer leg tubing. Do you have the parts needed, how much and can we exchange the motor for the new parts? Or how much is the whole leg?

It would be best to replace the bad leg all together based on what you described. For that the Montanas use a specific leg replacement unlike the other brands. For that you'd need the part # LC178652 for the follow leg and then part # LC178653 for the lead leg. You'd have to talk to customer service about exchanging the parts if you bought the motor through us.
