Recommended Carrier for Four Pairs of Skis and Poles
Question:
I bought a rhino ski rack for two pair of skis and I have a really hard time getting the top latch closed. We now have two kids that we want to take X-C skiing and we want to put all four pair of skis and poles in the rack. What size would you suggest to put our skis and poles on the roof of the Mitsubishi Outlander?

The ski and snowboard racks we offer are not designed to hold the ski poles as well but they can be used in such manner, you would just want to bump up to the next size. Since you mentioned that you had trouble closing the latch on your previous carrier, I recommend using the Yakima FreshTrack Ski and Snowboard Carrier part # Y03093 because the latch can be secured at multiple points for the perfect amount of tension on the skis. This is shown in the review video I have attached for you at the 0:50 in which you will hear the clicks.
A few other keys features of the Yakima FreshTrack is that is comes with locks for security, only weighs 8 lbs so it will be easy to take on/off the vehicle, and has a lifetime warranty.
