Trailer Brake Controller Recommendation for 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
In another question, you answered: If your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe has the tow package then you want to use the Tekonsha T-One # 118784 which has the 4-Way Flat connector that you asked about and plugs into the factory connector which is located under the vehicle, behind the rear bumper, on the driver’s side. Do I need to add an electric brake controller? Or does the tow package include that already? My service manager and Hyundais help line are clueless and less than forthcoming about what is included in that package.

Your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe does not have a brake controller built into it so you'd need to install one with the trailer wiring harness part # CU94FR that you mentioned.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well. The video shows a controller installed in a similar 2014 Santa Fe.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
