Breakaway Switch Installation for Even Brake RM-9400 on 2017 Chevy Equinox
Question:
Have ordered your brake lite switch kit required on this installation, now would like to know if you have any secretinch tips for installing the break away wiring. Dont seem to see any relatively easy access from passenger compartment to engine compartment to run this wiring. Thanks for you help.

We have not had a local customer bring in their Equinox for installation of the Roadmaster Even Brake # RM-9400 so we do not yet have the benefit of experience with this vehicle and product combination.
If there are no visible openings in the firewall between the passenger and engine compartments and no existing wiring grommets you can use then you will need to drill a 1/2-inch hole. You can drill this from either the engine side or the passenger side of the firewall but you'll want to take care to confirm you will not be drilling into any components on the other side of the firewall.
