Can Load Range C ST205/75R14 Tires on Trailer be Replaced with Load Range D Tires
Question:
Im asking about load C.. ST205/75R14 verses load D.. My trailer empty is 5000 and max is 7700 .. can I use a load D that has 65 psi verses the 50 psi on the load C that my trailer calls for with out hurting anything and changing valve stems ..

You can absolutely change to an ST205/75R14 tire that has a Load Range D, such as the excellent Westlake Radial Trailer Tire # 274-000012, on your trailer. This tire will have a maximum load of 2,040 pounds at 65 psi like you mentioned. The higher load range tire will fit your existing wheel without causing any harm to it or the trailer. You will just want to make sure that the valve stem on your wheels are rated for up to 65 psi, which they most likely are.
I have attached a short video demonstration on the Westlake tire that you can also check out.
