For your 2018 Acura RDX I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75784. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. It features a powder coated steel construction and its 4,000 pound towing weight capacity makes it the highest rated hitch available for your vehicle. Since it doesn't require the use of an additional stabilizing strap with non-trailer loads like the Curt alternative, this particular hitch is also the best option if you plan on using it for a bike rack or cargo carrier.
I have attached the written installation instructions along with an install video on an earlier model RDX. The process should be fairly similar on your 2018 model.
If you plan on doing any towing you will also need to install a trailer wiring harness. For this I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118569. This custom harness will install by plugging right into a factory port behind the driver side trim panel. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights.
I have again attached an installation video that you can use for reference.
To tow a trailer you will also need a ball mount and hitch ball.
