Troubleshooting T-One # 118265 on a 2015 Honda Pilot and Running/Tail Light Fuse Keeps Blowing
Question:
I have the Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Harness part 118265 installed in my 2015 Honda Pilot. I have used two different trailers with this vehicle one is a 4-way and the other is a 7-way with the same results I have brake and turn signals but no running lights. I checked the relays and inline fuses and I keep blowing one of the 7.5 amp fuses each time I turn the vehicle lights on. I tested the relays by swapping them with each other and I got the same result of blowing the same fuse so relays seem okay I believe. The grounding of the trailer wiring in the rear cargo area of the vehicle looks clean so does this most likely mean the wiring harness has gone bad? Just a note that I had originally installed this part on my 2013 Honda and it worked correctly. I recently uninstalled and reinstalled this part on my 2015 Honda Pilot.

It could be that the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118265 has gone bad, but what you are describing sounds like a short on the running/tail light circuit so it would be worth doing some digging before replacing the whole wiring harness.
Start off by making sure that both the T-One 7-Way and the connectors on your trailers are clean and clear of any debris or corrosion. Next you will want to check your wiring for that running/tail light circuit. It is possible but very unlikely that both of your trailers have issues with the same light circuit so the issue is most likely on your 2015 Honda Pilot. Check to make sure that the wire for the running/tail lights isn't damaged or bent both on the T-One harness and your OEM wiring. If that looks good then I would try checking your trailers as well just to be thorough.
If all of that looks good then the only other thing that would cause the issue would be the T-One itself. Since the individual pieces are not available separately you will need to replace the whole unit with the part # 118265. You may want to verify that the issue is with the T-One though if you still have your 2013 Pilot.
