From what I have researched in the past, when a vehicle is equipped with a sway control feature you can still use a sway control unit, like the Curt Friction Sway Control # 17200, as well without disabling the vehicle sway control.

You can use friction sway control like the Curt kit part #17200 without a weight distribution system. It's probably more common that people use these kits without weight distribution so this would be perfectly fine.
