Why Did PSI and Speed Rating of Karrier Trailer Tire # AM10235 Change

Question:

I bought 2 off these tires a couple of years ago and they have preformed well. Now I am ready to replace those with new ones. I noticed the pressure for these tires has been raised to 75psi. I always ran the old tires at 65psi which is what was called for, and was wondering why the change? Have these tires changed? I use these tires on a 20ft. bass boat trailer, with a single axal. Next question is why does the price of these tires go up an down? I look at the web site one day and they are different from day to day.

Recently Karrier came out and changed the design slightly and ratings of nearly all of their tires. The biggest change is the speed rating for the # AM10235. It used to be 65 mph max and now it's 81. The weight rating is now 2,200 lbs when inflated to 75 psi. Running your older tires at 65 was perfectly fine, but with the new tires you'd need to go to 75 inflated when cold.

Based on how well products are selling we do change pricing quite a bit. We do it so that we can basically keep the prices as low as possible based on how much they are costing us from day to day.
