Moving a B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2009 Ford F-350 to a 2018 Ram 2500 with Factory Pucks
Question:
I have this hitch in my 2009 F350. I am looking at the 2018 ram 2500 with gooseneck prep package. It is a round gooseneck, do they make a replacement post to fit the ram so that I can use this hitch in the Ram truck? I would rather not buy a whole new base if avoidable.

The only way to use your existing Companion 5th wheel hitch with your new 2018 Ram 2500 with the factory prep package is to replace the base with # BWRVB3600. This base will accept the head that you already have and it will mount in the factory pucks in the Ram's bed. If you have a short bed Ram you would need the slider base, # BWRVB3670, instead.
The other option is a different hitch but that will end up costing you more than just replacing the Companion base.
