Removal of Fascia on 2017 Subaru Outback to Install Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch 76227
Question:
Hello, I am not sure how to remove the bumper facia. The rear lights, splash guards,, fascia pins were straight forward. I assume only the black part of the rear fascia is removed. Any painted part remains attached to the car. The instructions say work from the fender wells. I think there are clips that hold the fascia on to the care. So, once the 7 pin clips are removed, how do you unseat the rear facia?

When installing Draw-Tite hitch # 76227, once you remove the 7 push pins from the bottom edge of your 2017 Subaru Outback's fascia, look for a tab under both tail lights and open it up with a flathead screwdriver. There are screws in each you need to remove by using a 10mm socket. After that you're pretty much set; all you need to do is pull the fascia off.
