Recommended Towing Mirrors for 2018 Ram 2500

Question:

Looking for a solution to my stock power fold-in mirrors so I can tow my 28foot camper trailer safely. It is chrome, but Im ok with black slip-ons. Ive read a number of reviews and am concerned about some of them vibrating too much. Id like to retain the power fold-in feature of the stock mirrors while the towing mirror extension is installed, if possible. Frequency of use would be monthly on average, so Id want to be able to take/put them on quickly and easily without marring up any finishes.

As long as you don't have the SLT model or extendable stock mirrors, I recommend the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors # CM11400 for your 2018 Ram 2500. These custom, durable towing mirrors will slide right over the factory mirrors on your truck to extend your line of sight while you're towing. The felt-covered wedge locks securely to fasten the mirrors in place, eliminating movement and vibration during travel. You will just want to be sure to use the included wedge designed for the chrome plated mirrors during installation. They will not have an affect on the power folding feature, as these will simply attach to the exterior of the OEM mirror housing.

Both the driver and passenger side mirrors are included.

I have attached an installation video on the 2017 Ram 2500 so you can see exactly what you will need to do when installing and removing the mirrors on your truck.

My 2018 RAM 2500 is the SLT model. I dont understand why these mirrors will not work with the SLT? Ill appreciate a learning why, and b learning what is the best alternative if they will not work?

It looks like the stock mirrors on the SLT model are just a bit larger than the standard units, so those CIPA custom mirrors can't physically slide over them. The best option we have to offer would be a universal set like the K-Source # KS3990 that uses an adjustable ratcheting system to wrap over the mirror housing.
