Tow Ready Trailer Wiring Harness Sets Off Tire Pressure Monitoring System, 2011 Honda Pilot
Question:
I have installed part #118491 in my 2011 Honda Pilot. Everything works fine except my low tire pressure indicator is now on and shows low pressure in all 4 tire. All tires are properly inflated. The directions show installing 2 - 20 amp fuses on the installation, one in the rear fuse box and one under the hood on the drivers side fuse box. Your installation video on your website only shows installing one 20 amp fuse in the rear fuse box. Should this second fuse be installed under the hood and is this the problem that I am having with my low tire pressure indicator being on? Thanks for the help

First, you should install all of the fuses/relays as indicated in the instructions, which I have linked for you, for the Tow Ready Wiring Harness, # 118491 on your 2011 Honda Pilot.
If you disconnected the vehicle battery at any point during installation, it may have wiped the information needed by the tire monitoring system, so it is indicating a fault. You would need to reset the tire pressure monitoring system.
The 2011 Honda Pilot comes from the factory pre-wired to add trailer wiring, so it should not be tied into the tire pressure monitoring system.
