If you do not have the factory tow package on your vehicle, or you only want to install a 4-Way connector, you can use the T-One Connector with Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite, # 118491, to provide a 4-Way connector at the rear of your vehicle. This kit includes everything needed to install the wiring harness including a circuit tester.
If your 2010 Honda Pilot has the tow package it should have a port or plug in the back for this harness to plug into. There are 4 holes in the 7-Way connector so that you can mount it to the bumper. Some vehicles have knockouts in place that can be removed and provide a pre-drilled location for the 7-Way. Take a look at your bumper to see if a knock out is there. If there is no knock out, you can attach to the bumper using a bracket like part # 18138.
There may also be a 4-Way already in place tucked up somewhere behind the bumper, but if not we have several adapters that will convert a 7-Way to a 4-Way. The simplest ones are plug-in units that will plug into the 7-Way on the vehicle and on the back have a 4-Way flat connector. They often come with other features like a built-in LED circuit tester, like part # 47345, to make sure your tail lights, blinker, and brake light connections are working on the vehicle.
