Hitch Extender Compatible With Truck Bed Camper and Trailer Towing 19 Foot Aluminum Fishing Boat
Question:
Hi. I have 2004 chevrolet Silverado 2500HD diesel and a wolf creek 850 truck camper that will be hanging out about 2 to 2.5 ft. I like to tow my 19ft aluminum fishing boat with 140hp outboard as well. If I purchase curt trailer hitch class v Item # C15703 and Titan hitch extension Item # RP45018 will it be safe to tow my 19ft aluminum boat?

Expert Reply:
For your 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class V Commercial Duty - 2-1/2" # C15703 is a confirmed fit. This hitch will allow you to use the Titan Hitch Box Extension for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches, 41" - 48" Long # RP45018. This will give you a towing ability of 4,000 lbs at full length so your aluminum 19 foot fishing boat, motor, and trailer should be well under the rated capacity.
I then recommend using wiring extension # C56080 which can be cut down from 7 foot long if desired.
