Recommended Hitch Ball Length for Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System

Item RP66083 description says ball tongue size 2inch or 2-5/16 and shank diameter 1-1/4 but doesnt specify the shank length required. What is the recommended length?

The Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w Sway Control # RP66083 requires a hitch ball with a shank diameter of 1-1/4 inches but it does not specify the length as you stated. We have confirmed a fit for the 2-5/16 inch diameter ball # 19286 which is 2-3/4 inches and the 2 inch ball # A-90 which is 2-5/8 inches. I recommend no shorter than the 2-5/8 inch length so you get the correct strength from the washer and nut with the shank threading.
