Transferring Tekonsha Brake Controller From 2005 Chevy Tahoe to 2015 Chevy Suburban
Question:
I own a Primus IQ 90160 trailer brake controller. It used to be in a 2005 Tahoe but would like to move it into a 2015 Suburban. I am told by my mechanic that the wiring adapter I had would not work in the suburban. What do I need to make this work? Thank you!!!

Your 2005 Chevy Tahoe uses adapter # 3015-P to install the Primus IQ, part # TK90160. If the 2015 Chevy Suburban has a factory 7-way at the rear then it uses part # 3016 to install the controller and this is all you need.
If the Suburban doesn't have a factory 7-way the wires to install a controller are under the dash but there isn't a connector to just plug it into. You need to start by adding a 7-way using part # 30955. Then hardwire in the Primus IQ using adapter # 20160.
