Options to Add 2-Inch Receiver Tube to Car Lift for Use with Winch Mount

Question:

I want to mount a 2inch x 2inch receiver to the front crossmember of my 4-post car lift. Dimensions 6inch wide x 3 1/4inch thick x about 8foot long. I have a winch mounted to a 2inch x 2inch adapter that I can slide into the receiver. This would be used to pull a non-running car up on the rails of the 4-post lift. Any ideas? Has anyone ever asked about doing the same?

We have not before had another customer inquire about your specific application but we do have hitch fabrication parts that might work for you. Please see the linked page.

Based on the substantial material of your lift a weld-on part like the 12-inch Curt Combo Bar # E-11 or the 6-inch # E-9 might be the most direct way to add the 2-inch receiver you want for your winch mount.

I suggest making a call to the manufacturer of the lift system just to make sure they have no issues with welding on an accessory item.

If welding is not preferred we do also offer the Buyers Products Black Receiver Tube # 3371804055 that has a 2-inch receiver tube welded to a mounting plate for bolt-on installation.
