Truck 1/16th Inch Off-Level After Setting Up Fastway Weight Distribution

Question:

Hello I have a 2017 Toyota Tacoma and a 2018 Hideout 177LHS GVWR 4400lbs that I installed a Fastway WDH 600LBS on. As the directions state I started with 6 washers and took the measurement at the front wheel well. The result was 1/16 over-adjusted however, the truck is sitting level and the trailer has about a 1/2 inch pitch to the front. The problem I have is when I reduced the washers to 5, the front of the truck raises to within 1/4inch of the coupled height WITHOUT the spring bars. So for my question, is the 16th of an inch a no-go? The trailer seems to tow fine, steering and braking there, just the adjustment comes out slightly over. My only other thought was to find a thinner washer to try and work the 16th out. I may be splitting hairs so I look forward to your wisdom. Thank you in advance

A 1/16th inch difference is not going to be a problem. That is actually probably better than a lot of people can accomplish when adjusting a weight distribution system. Just keep in mind that when using weight distribution you also have to factor in the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.

If you are over the capacity of the system, in this case 600 pounds, then you would need to upgrade to the 800 pound bars # FA92-01-0899 for trunnion systems or 2 of # FA94-02-0899 for round bar systems.
