Does Trailer Wiring for 2005 Buick Park Avenue Need to Run to Vehicle Battery

I have purchased a hitch and wiring harness from your company. I hav a 2005 Buick Park Avenue. Can you tell me whether I need to run a power wire to th battery for the converter?

Yes, to install trailer wiring like the Curt # C59236 you will need to run a wire to the vehicle battery.

Not all vehicles can handle the additional amperage draw of the trailer taillights on the vehicle taillight circuits. Those vehicles need setup that draws power from the battery. Some vehicles have higher rated circuits that can handle this, and others need to have the power drawn straight from the battery to protect the taillight circuits.
