B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch Swap from 2001 Ford F-250 8 Foot Bed to 6-3/4 Foot Bed

Question:

2001 Ford F250 crew cab 8 ft bed with a B&W turn over hitch installed. Can I take that installed hitch out of the 8ft bed and install it in a 2001 Ford F250 crew cab short bed? If I can what is the distance from end of bed for hole to be drilled? Thank you

The B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs # BWGNRK1108 is a fit for both bed lengths in a 2001 Ford F-250. The 8 foot bed and 6-3/4 inch bed will have the same measurement for the gooseneck ball hole. Measure from the tail gate end of the truck bed floor by hooking a tape measure over the end of the truck box and mark the floor at 47”. Next find the center point between the wheel wells, where these marks intersect with the first measurement will be the center point of your four inch hole.

I've attached the installation details to assist.
